- claimed to have measured the Pantheon more precisely than others while in Rome in the 1530s [1533–1536]

- Since his Roman years he was befriended with Cardinal Jean du Bellay, at least in 1556-01-03 he is also called de Bellay's "architect" und Kanoniker des Kapitels von Notre-Dame de Paris
