Sangallo, Antonio da (il Giovane)
As the leading architect for the construcion of St. Peter's and constantly studying Roman ruins, Sangallo was also prepairing a new edition of Vitruvius and had contact with members of the Accademia. It is still unclear, if these contacts resulted in a real collaboration. At least, he was taking part in a discussion reported by Girolamo Garimberto where Sangallo defended the idea that a classical building could be reconstructed based on its foundations / ground plan and the classical rules.
